Who is responsible for your information?

EdgeIT AB is responsible for personal data we process when you contact us through this website. This information covers the website and initial enquiries. Processing within a customer assignment may be governed by separate agreements and instructions.

When you contact us

The website has no contact form or customer account. Email links open your own email application. When you email or call, we may receive your name, contact details, company name and the information you provide about your enquiry. We use this information to respond, provide advice and manage further contact.

For ordinary business enquiries, the basis is our legitimate interest in responding and following up, subject to a balancing of interests. Where contact is needed to enter into or fulfil a contract with you as an individual, the contract may be the legal basis. We may also need to process information to meet legal obligations.

Hosting and visitor statistics

The website is hosted through OpenAI’s Sites service, using technical infrastructure from Cloudflare. When you connect, the hosting environment needs to process technical information such as your IP address, requested URL and information sent by your browser. This processing supports delivery, troubleshooting and security.

Sites provides statistics on visitors and page views. We have not added Google Analytics or advertising pixels to the website code. Read more about cookies and external services.

External providers and links

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google, which receives technical connection information such as your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.

LinkedIn, maps, press releases and Splashtop are opened only when you follow their links. Those sites have their own terms and privacy information. Start remote support in consultation with our support team and follow your technician’s instructions.

Email, support and hosting providers may need to process information to deliver their services. International providers may involve processing outside the EU/EEA. The exact location, provider role and applicable transfer safeguards depend on the service and agreement. Contact us for information about processing that concerns you. How long is information retained?

Enquiries need to be kept while they are being handled and for as long as continued contact or follow-up justifies retention. If contact leads to a customer assignment, information may be needed for the contract, legal obligations or legal claims. Technical logs and platform statistics are also subject to the hosting provider’s retention periods. Contact us to ask what applies to your information.

Your rights

You can request access to your personal data, corrections and, where applicable, erasure, restriction or data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR.
